Move your data
Your new app starts with an empty database. This page shows how to copy your records and files from Bubble into it.
A coding agent does the work for you. For example, Claude Code or Codex. It runs on your computer. It asks you when it needs something.
Before you start
Your new app is live. If you used the Compiler, finish Deploy and preview first.
You have a coding agent on your computer.
Copy the prompt
On the Migration page, go to Move your data.
Click Copy prompt.
Paste the prompt into your coding agent.
What the agent does
Turns on the Bubble Data API. Bubble only lets Buildprint read your data if the Data API is on for each data type. If it is off, the agent tells you which boxes to tick in your Bubble editor.
Backs up your Bubble app. It saves every record and file.
Loads the backup into your new database.
Checks the counts with you. It shows a table of how many records each data type has, in Bubble and in your new database.
Then open your app and check some records yourself.
Launch
When your data is in place, connect your domain to your new app in Vercel. Your users now use your new app.
Your Bubble app continues to run until you turn it off. If users change data in Bubble after the backup, move your data again just before you launch.
